Mr.Huang zhou-Luan,also named Xiu-shan.Comes from
sinhui country Guangdong province. He was born in Indonesia.
In 1960 he returned to china to study. Since childhood
he has been fond of paintings and music. He is now
vice-chairman of the Guangdong Guitar Research Society,
the principal of the Lin-Nan Guitar School.
As the was born and grew up in the southeast of
Asia, exotic musical tones and mood, customs and human
feelings made a deep impression on him. During the
socalled cultural Revolution he went to the countryside
and became a young man with learning and had worked
there for ten years. The unluck and setback made him
mature in idealogy and character. During having been
in the countryside for ten years after hard work,
he still continued to learn to paint at night by the
coal oil lamp and put down the plots. When he is inte-
rested in something,he plays the guitar, forgetting
himself in the world of art.
In 1973 he regarded the specilly-engaged professor,famous
painter Wu Jing-shan from the Chinese Art Academy
as a tutor, Professor Wu didn't care about fame or
wealth. He seriously studied the traditions of the
country, imitated the old ideas of his time. He proposed
his free idea that let many experts develop their
talent and respect people both of today and of ancient
times. He collected much in formation, faced life,
improved life. With full enthusiasm he happily sang
songs for his time and for the beautiful mountains
and rivers of the country. Prof. Wu was very strict
and serious in teaching. He played an exce- llent
part in teaching Mr. Huang. Mr. Huang made great and
repid progress in his style of paintings.
In the great course of China's Opening and Reform,
Mr. Huang returned to the city from the countryside
and plunged into the commercial world to work hard.
Now he has to work partly for the society and partly
for his life, Yet he has never stopped studying art
and music.
in order to prove the sources of art from life, Mr,
Huang often takes his painting brush, wondering the
famous scenery of the country. He regards mature as
his good teacher because he has learned a lot from
nature. He always keeps making progress in his life.
For recent years Mr. Huang's paintings have become
more and more perfect and famous. Many friends at
home and abroad often ask for his paintings one after
another. His paintings are spread very widely. He
has won better reputation.
Now he has selected some of his excellent paiotings
together in the form of a book to offer it to his
good friends. So I am glad to write the fore word
for his selected painting collections. |
